ONLINE COURSE: How to build a Playing Philosophy in Soccer?
One of the key factors in the team and player development is to have a clear and well-defined club philosophy and to reinforce this philosophy with video feedback, data analysis and a pre-defined set of expirations on a team and individual level.
This course will provide you insights into why it’s important to have a playing philosophy and demonstrate how one can be built and reinforced. Using videos and examples from professional teams around the world, this course will teach you how to do this with your team or club no matter what resources you have available.

Oliver Gage is currently the Director of Football at the Canadian Premier League. Previously, Oliver worked with Houston Dynamo in MLS, winning the US Open Cup Championship in 2018, as well as appearing in the 2017 Western Conference Championship Final. Oliver was responsible for pre and post-game analysis alongside technical player recruitment. In Oliver’s time with Houston, the club grew a reputation for finding undervalued, young talent from South and Central America, and regularly competed for silverware, despite having the league’s lowest budget. Oliver has also worked at the University of Virginia and won an NCAA Division 1 National Championship, and Sheffield Wednesday FC, in the English Championship.
