Job Title:Â Assistant Coach (Women’s Team)

Contract:Â Full time hours over 6 days. As and when required according to team schedule.
Chelsea FC’s Women’s team are looking for an experienced Assistant coach to assist the manager on and off the pitch in-line with the club playing philosophy.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
ON PITCH
- To coach at 1st team training in-line with the club’s playing philosophy.
- To attend all 1st team training sessions and Matches.
- To design, lead, coach and assist training sessions for the 1st team, working to and alongside the periodisation program put into place by the manager.
- To set up pitch for all 1st team training sessions.
- To deliver individual training sessions for 1st team players as required.
- To deliver recovery training sessions for the 1st team.
- To set up and deliver/assist warmups for training and Matches.
- To support the CFCW Academy as required.
OFF PITCH
- To analyse games and provide analysis and feedback to management, staff and players.
- To analyse training sessions and provide analysis and feedback to management, staff and players.
- To prepare and deliver video analysis presentations including, but not limited to, training topic introductions.
- To assist the analyst in creating the opposition dossier in powerpoint in relation to how to beat the opposition (key players, strengths and weaknesses, both in an out of possession).
- To import relevant data in the club centralized database or other relevant files.
- To share relevant video, data and other resources with staff and players using various technology platforms.
- To analyse player development through training/match footage and coach assessments to assist in creating IAP’s.
- To produce individual player analysis to educate players in IAP’s.
- To provide detailed video based dossiers to management on potential new players.
- To assist to create the team and individual periodisation.
- To produce training clips when required.
- To film training sessions, as required.
- To produce training clips when required.
- To support the CFCW Academy as required.
- To undertake a progressive and ongoing professional development process attending and participating in in-house CPD sessions (when possible) and external sessions (if relevant), keep a regular CPD file, and ensure up to date with performance advances and research in their field.
- To perform other duties as required helping the performance of the women’s department.
Experience and Qualifications:
Essential
- 3-5 years of professional football support within coaching or playing at senior level.
- UEFA A Licence
Desirable
- UEFA Pro Licence
- Experience of working with female athletes.
- Understanding of Football Periodisation.
Personal Specification:
Essential
- Previous experience of managing successful teams and promotion of players from youth to senior level.
- Knowledge of football operations and of CFCW /Women’s football.
- Knowledge and working application of The FA’s player pathway framework.
- Clear understanding of relevant regulatory bodies in the industry.
- Understanding and application of a range of training methods.
- Previous coaching experience with elite players across youth and senior levels.
- Proficient in the use of a PC, Tablets & MS Windows based computer applications, including use of MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook).
- Good understanding of the wider business context
- Good understanding of the flow and process of the football dept.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills

- Able to create good relationships across numerous depts.
- Ability to be flexible in working hours / days
- Passion for football and sports
- Managing change and embedding new ways of working.
- A great ability to reflect on current working practice & implement change where required
