Hi there!
My name is Jonathan Cordon Farris Jr. I’m 25 years of age and a massive soccer fan. I currently help training and coach a local youth soccer club. I watched this video on Derby County Analyst and decided to look up what you need(degree, experience, etc) to get into a job like this. I know I don’t qualify for this position due to lack of experience with analyst software and no degree in that field of study but I wanted to touch base and see what steps I need to take to get to a position where I can apply for a job like this.
I see that I must have a bachelors Degree in Performance Analysis, Sports Science, Data Science, or related area of study. I’m currently going to school but haven’t decided what I want to major in. Looking at this may push me towards getting a degree in this area of study.
I see that you must have some experience with this. What are my options for getting my foot in the door? Do you know of any internships that clubs do?
If I’ve missed anything that you think will be good for me to know. Please share as I’m super interested in this.
Good luck finding a candidate for this position!
Thank you,
Cordon Farris
