The purpose of the Dual Career Academy Assistant Coach at LFCW is to support the Academy Head Coach recruit, identify and support the development of elite players within a technical/tactical and educational programme, to enable them to fulfil their sporting potential whilst supporting their dual career academy aspirations.
What will you be doing?
Within your role the main responsibilities will include:
Support the Academy Head Coach to build a successful dual career academy squad who can compete in FA Women`s Super DCA league whilst pursuing further/higher education.
Ensuring all sessions delivered are in line with the club philosophy.
Preparing the Academy players for all training sessions and matches.
Monitoring and reporting on the performance and progress of all players, evaluating against established and agreed goals.
Fostering a positive environment for learning and development within the U21 Academy Squad.
Liaising with the Multi-Disciplinary team ensuring they are working collaboratively to meet club and team objectives
Identifying and scout potential target players.
Completing all administrative tasks including updating and Women`s performance Systems (WPS) and monitoring of all player records.
Assisting the Dual Career Academy Manager where necessary to ensure compliance within league, competition, and licence rules & regulations.
Attending all Football Management Team Meetings.
Ensuring all qualifications are maintained through a programme of CPD and any training needs identified through appraisal.
Attending fixtures as assigned by the Academy Manager.
Carrying out any other reasonable duties that may arise or be assigned by the Academy Head Coach & Academy Manager.
Providing support in the transition of players between RTC and first team in conjunction with the relevant technical and administrative leads.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a candidate to join our team who understands the pressures and commitments required for players and can also
create an ethos which promotes high aspirations and achievement for all.
You should have an understanding of support strategies for the player emotional needs and demonstrate the ability to create positive working relationships with all key stakeholders. You should also have the ability to work collaboratively in a team in a professional, pressurised environment. You will also meet the following essential criteria:
Minimum UEFA B outfield qualification
FA Safeguarding workshop
FA basic first aid certificate
Have up to date working knowledge and experience of best practice and developments in the elite sport industry
Safeguarding Reporting
Excellent communication and organisational skills;
Reliable, conscientious, and flexible approach/availability.
Have a recent and relevant professional experience in a sports performance environment.
Undertake Continued Professional Development organised by the Club
Ability to demonstrate role model behaviours
Excellent communication skills
Why should you apply?
This is a permanent, part-time position working 15 – 20 hours per week. This role includes working afternoons, weekends and Wednesday Club fixtures.
